Aloha!

We had such a great time in paradise or better known as Hawaii. There is nothing better than being with family on a beautiful island. We had a ton of adventures, lot's of relaxing, good food and way too much fun. Our camera broke due to a gigantic wave so all of our activities are not here, but they definitely were fun. Thanks mom and dad for making this possible for all of us. We really appreciate all that you do for our family and we love, love, love you so much.

More Than One Use.

Swim diapers now have more than one use in our home. What do you think? Should I go into business? They are really cute an fashionable and I could make a variety of colors.
Our little ones are getting so funny these days. It seems as though Caroline is the instigator of all trouble and Rex adds to the madness. They laugh at each other all the time and hate being separated. Caroline is making sure that Rex is very well taken care of almost too well.
It was diapers today, but yesterday I found them in my bathroom and water all over the place. It took a while to clean up, but they seemed to be pretty proud of themselves for the art they had created. Yes, they did end up in their rooms for time outs, other wise there may have been some really inappropriate words coming out of moms mouth. This was my first major timeout for Rexy and he didn't take it so well. I don't think he's seen me so upset. Who knows if I got through at all. My life is cleaning up after my kids, but it is pretty humorous most days.

Our trip to Utah was so much fun. It feels like we were busy the whole time, but it was well worth the the napless days and at times, ornery nights. My heart was so happy to see my kids interact with cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles. It's these kind of moments that make me ache for Utah. Lagoon, liberty park, the dam house, Rigby pool, sandboxes, temple, reunions, friends and family made this trip really special and an amazing memory. Not to mention, Nathan surprised me by flying out and being with us for a few days. He is an amazing husband and Father and it made the trip that much better with him there. While it was a fun trip, Caroline kept saying "I miss my brown house!". We did miss our brown house and it is definitely nice to come back to "our stuff". Caroline is now making sure we know that the stairs, the bed the kitchen the car and everything else is hers. The slide show and pics are mainly for family, but I hope that all can enjoy and see what an amazing family we have and how much we already miss you all. We can't wait to be with the Rigbys in a few weeks.

The good, the bad, the ugly!

Starting late Spring, Nathan and I decided to get a truck load of dirt so that we could start a vegetable garden in the back. We spent hours digging out a corner in our yard so that it would all be ready once the dirt came. Well, little did we know that a truck full of dirt meant a huge, gigantic truck load of dirt. So for weeks we had a small mountain sitting in our driveway. After filling up our garden, we noticed that this project didn't even dent the mountain so we were forced to do a few more projects than we expected. Some of our projects have worked out well while others have completely bombed. Here's some pics of our projects.

The first of three trees we put in the back. Our pretty Dogwood isn't so pretty anymore.

This one is thriving through the heat. Crossing our fingers that is survives.

Our flowering Cherry is not so merry.

Nathan dug out a huge strip behind our house. Eventually well get some bushes in.

We created a big flower garden in the front. We are really happy with it. Just a little more mulch and it will look pretty good.

We also made a flower garden on the side of our house. Our vision is to have ivy growing up the side of the house and bushes to hide all the electrical boxes and pipes.

Here's our vegetable garden. I am really proud of it, I have never grown a garden before. Don't worry all our tomatoes will ripen right when I leave for Utah.

My first pepper is just about ready to be picked. Wahoo!

Here's a full pic of the garden. It's coming along.

My two little love bugs. We really do love these two.!
Any suggestions on how to keep up a garden would be greatly appreciated. Also if you know how to care for trees, we need any help we can get. So I am not the greatest gardener in the world, but we are definitely having fun with it.
